Over the past five decades, he has been at the center of some of the most consequential legal and investigative cases in modern U.S. history—challenging abuses of power across government, intelligence agencies, and corporate institutions.
He has served as legal counsel in landmark cases involving the Pentagon Papers, Iran-Contra, covert intelligence operations, environmental justice, and whistleblower protection. Danny is also the founder of the Romero Institute, a public policy organization dedicated to protecting civil liberties, advancing the rule of law, and confronting systemic corruption.
