About Thomas Drake
Thomas Drake is a former senior executive at the National Security Agency turned whistleblower on post-9/11 mass surveillance, government malfeasance and abuse, 9/11 intelligence failures and then as a very public criminal defendant in the Obama administration’s signature Espionage Act prosecution and case facing down 35 years in prison and went free.
He also served in the Air Force as an airborne crypto-linguist, in the Navy as a commissioned intelligence officer and at the CIA as an imagery analyst. He also formerly worked in industry as a consultant/contractor and principal in organizational management and information technology during the go-go 1990s and early 2000s.
He is featured in “Silenced” and PBS Frontline’s “United States of Secrets” as well as numerous other documentaries and publications. His public policy and administration PhD research, focused on leadership and management governance, examined the consequences of secrecy and the vital necessity of upholding constitutional rights in a post-9/11 security-driven age.
He now speaks and writes on the dark heart of the human condition, eschatology, privacy, technology, democracy, governance, future scapes, the defense of vital civil liberties and human rights as well as examining the coming dystopia, while nurturing the seeds for a whole new future.
He has dedicated the rest of his life defending our precious inalienable rights that include life, liberty and the pursuit of all things good in humanity and society against the abuses of pathological power, social control and the active and passive sides of evil.
He currently looks deeply at the future as an eyewitness to history with the coming troubles and travails facing humanity on Earth, when a fauxtopia of accelerated technocracy and a new world order turns into dystopia, imperiling our precious blue dot of a privileged planet and the place in space we call home.
He’s lived through several near death experiences as part of an extraordinary personal journey and adventure through the time-space continuum riding the waves of linear and non-linear discovery and quantum phenomena while seeking the truth and deeper meaning of the physical and spiritual realities around us as well as the origins of our very existence and the genesis of life itself.
He is now focused on peering past Pandora’s Box full of furies and the abyss and glimpsing the real hope for a redeemed world tomorrow beyond all the darkness and the ushering in of a remarkably swift transition in life as we know it.
Here are the questions he now asks while holding fast to his faith in a new future: What will the future really bring? Can we ask the future to reveal itself? What will the future say? What do the ancient texts reveal?
Beyond the event horizons facing humanity and past the shadowlands of sorrow and despair, he looks forward with blazing hope to a glorious and seemingly unimaginable future awaiting humanity on this jewel of a planet called Earth that will see a whole new and extraordinary rebirth.
